Consultant Cardiologist - Dumfries & Galloway We are looking to speak with Consultant Cardiologists who are looking for either a short or long term contract based in Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary, a new purpose-built in 2017 state of the art hospital. If successful, you will join a dynamic and enthusiastic multidisciplinary Cardiology team encompassing three Consultants, a Specialty Doctor, two rotating Middle Graders, two Cardiology Nurse Specialists, Rehabilitation Team and Heart Failure Nurses. The clinical team provides a wide range of cardiology services to a population of 148,000.  With a wide range of activities on offer in the area you can maintain a great work/life balance. Housing prices are relatively low compared to the bigger cities and it boasts good schools for those in need. Being only 2 hours travel time from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Lake District and Newcastle you will be able to fully enjoy these places during time off. Accounts Payable and Expenses Manager Work Pattern: Full time, permanent role with hybrid working 3 days in the office/2 days working from home    As a result of an internal move, an opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable and Expenses Manager to manage the UK Accounts Payable team (circa 3).  Reporting to the UK Financial Controller , you will be responsible for UK payments for all purchase invoices, implementing a Purchase to Pay policy and managing foreign payments for multiple entities. Following a client visit to NHS Lothian today, I am delighted to have been asked to find obstetric scrub practitioners for locum shifts in Edinburgh.  I have work available Monday to Sunday, 08:00 - 20:30. Ideally I would like a small team to cover the whole week for the client. This is a fantastic opportunity for regular work in emergency obstetrics. Consultant General Surgeon with interest in Upper GI - Scotland

            Consultant General Surgeon – Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland An opportunity is available for a Consultant General Surgeon to join the General Surgery Department at the new Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary, located in the south of Scotland. Head Medical are delighted to continue to work with this healthboard and are keen to discuss this fantastic new hospital with potential applicants. The Department of Surgery provide a comprehensive elective and emergency general surgical service, with day case/endoscopy/out-patient services also provided at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer. The combined Gastro-intestinal Services are largely provided by surgeons with an Upper GI interest and colorectal interest, and they deal with 130 new cases of colorectal cancers and 40-50 oesophagogastric cancers per annum. Elective and emergency vascular surgery is undertaken here as part of the Solway Vascular Service, which is a network for North Cumbria and Dumfries and Galloway. As a Consultant in this department you must have strong general surgery skills and most special interests can be considered, with a preference for Upper GI.             Consultant General Surgeon – Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland An opportunity is available for a Consultant General Surgeon to join the General Surgery Department at the new Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary, located in the south of Scotland. We are recruiting a self-motived Product Training Specialist who will be responsible for the design and delivery of training courses to internal stakeholders, distributors, and OEMs from our HQ and Peak global offices. Reporting to the Global Training Manager, this role is Inchinnan based with international travel once restrictions allow.  Duties include: Providing Technical support to the sales and service teams including assisting at site visits or seminars and exhibitions Creating monthly reports to the Global Training Manager detailing training activities and customer visits Developing and maintain training materials including constantly modifying, improving, and amending these materials based on attendee feedback, or product changes and enhancements Keeping up to date with new products, design changes and communicating them to Peak employees This role would be highly suited to someone with a Technical background or an experienced Field Service Engineer who is looking for an exciting opportunity to train and develop others. Ideally you will have a strong Electro/Mechanical background and previous experience as a Trainer or Field Service Engineer/Technician with demonstrable experience of working with minimal supervision. Your main responsibility is to produce Management Accounting reports on both current and forecasted financial positions, including the provision of quality in-depth insight and analysis and to assist the Head of Finance for North America, in the day to day support of all finance functions across the US and Canadian entities (end to end process). The role will be UK based, however you may require to travel to our US based office in Billerica MA. In addition your key tasks will include – Preparing and delivering the monthly management account reporting packs Leading the group audit procedures for the North America region, ensuring region reporting pack is in line with correct group accounting standards and ensuring timely delivery Managing the monthly and annual ledger close process Preparing variance and inventory analysis and assisting with physical inventories and cycle counts Ensuring the accuracy of turnover recorded though analysing order and delivery through to invoice and cash Supporting and assisting the Head of Finance in the preparation of budgets and review of budget proposals Providing financial support to the different departments within the company, including providing financial advice and support in terms of budgeting, potential cost savings, day to day spend requirements, periodic performance against forecast and ad hoc advice Liaising with external advisors on the various tax returns required for US and Canada, providing necessary information as required and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tax payments Implementing and ensuring compliance and provide support on global policies, procedures, guidance documents and internal controls across US and Canada entities You will be a qualified Accountant with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
