This position is a 6 month fixed term contract based in Inchinnan, Renfrewshire
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic HR Advisor to join our HQ team at Inchinnan to provide best practice HR support to Manufacturing Operations. You will be working in true partnership with the business, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of our people strategy and “employee life cycle”.
THE ROLE: Reporting to our Global HR Manager you will provide wide ranging, flexible support to all employees, bringing proven HR generalist experience, ideally from a manufacturing background. You will build trusted relationships which enable you to guide, support, evaluate risks and provide advice on HR policies, employee relations, performance management and health and wellbeing. Key areas of responsibility include:
Performance management - providing advice to managers to support them having difficult conversations and managing poor performers
Employee relations - supporting on disciplinaries through investigations and hearings, whilst keeping a commercial perspective to mitigate employment law risks
Health & Well-Being - consulting and advising on health and well-being aspects which impact employees, ensuring they are well supported, and have access to the right resources
Performance Development Review - supporting the performance development review at interim and year end cycles. This includes supporting salary and bonus modelling with senior business stakeholders
Employee Development - liaising with managers and HR Support Services to ensure employee training needs are met and training plans are implemented
Ad hoc Global HR projects
YOU THE CANDIDATE: Will have a proven track record in generalist HR with robust ER knowledge and experience. You will be an outstanding communicator, with evidence of achievement in a fast paced HR generalist role and experience of working with HR information systems. Have a positive “can do” attitude, a sense of humour and excellent relationship management skills with an ability to quickly establish credibility, trust and partnership at all levels within the organisation. Your other attributes will include:
Degree qualified with or working towards a CIPD qualification
Up to date knowledge of UK Employment legislation
Excellent IT skills, including; MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
