THE ROLE: As Procurement Officer reporting to the Global Supply Chain & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the development and sustainability of a robust, compliant and uninterrupted supply chain. You will develop supplier rapport, deliver value add solutions into operations, maintain system pricing, reporting savings and maintaining optimum stock levels. Key duties include: Instigating category management purchasing strategies with Global Supply Chain & Logistics Manager. Supporting the analysis to remove single sourcing, non-value added distribution networks, supplier obligations to CSA type critical parts and consignment stocks to support the fluidity and robustness of the supply chain. Building market knowledge (intelligence) of products procured – key suppliers, manufacturing points, supply chains and ensure Business Continuity at all times. Producing timely reports of visits to supplier site and at HQ as part of supplier relationship management.  Identifying and actioning key opportunities and risks for the business. Point of contact with suppliers on delivery and quality reliability, instigating and developing corrective and preventative action programmes with quality vendor engineers. Ensuring projected demands (increases and decreases) are effectively communicated to suppliers for planning forecasts. Job: Commercial Director             Job type: Full Time Location: Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with 40% international travel Deliver commercial trading best practice globally for Peak Scientific, world leader in Gas Generators.
