Design Engineering –Team Lead Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire                                                                An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineering – Hydrogen Team Lead to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, global technology manufacturing business. Reporting to the Design Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for Product and Technology Innovation, including the development of new hydrogen based products and integrating engineering changes to existing ones. This role will also involve delivering a world class customer service through technical support to global internal and external customers. Leading a cross functional team of 6, there will be a strong requirement for leadership skills with a significant understanding of engineering principles such as design for manufacture, product development processes and technology innovation. You will be responsible for : Driving a collaborative engaged team that is aligned to departmental goals and Global Business Objectives Championing life and validating testing of hydrogen products Leading initiatives to address production faults attributed to design and component selection Prioritising and allocating the teams workload Ensuring project spend is accurate including capital and operational expenditure Developing and mentoring Engineers by sharing knowledge and best practice Ensuring timely completion of all required documentation for project related tasks You must have a proven track record of team management in a fast paced Engineering environment with a knowledge of product development lifecycle and delivering new products to market. Candidates should also have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or sufficient experience. In addition you will have an understanding of the following : Electrical systems and Mechanical design Document Compliance and Component / BoM / Drawing Revision Control SAP or another ERP system Hydrogen technology would be a distinct advantage. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an additional Production Supervisor to join our Production team at Peak HQ in Inchinnan, Renfrew. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will be an experienced leader who will relish the challenge of supervising a busy team of technical operators. Duties will include: Working closely with the planning team to ensure work plan is carried out to meet agreed delivery dates Monitoring and managing work level and performance standards Maintaining all Health and Safety standards which can include writing and interpreting risk assessments and conducting floor safety inspections to identify areas for improvement Dealing with absence management, including return to work interviews Organising on-going training and development of Technical Operators Managing the building and testing of gas generation systems including sub-assemblies Running daily meetings to discuss targets, workload and performance issues The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a fast paced, mechanical/electrical production environment and have the ability to lead and motivate a team. With a positive and pro-active approach, you will take pride in improving productivity/efficiency, developing your team and working closely with the other production supervisors in the achievement of departmental KPIs. Due to continued growth, we are looking for QC Technicians to join our Quality team at Peak HQ in Inchinnan, Renfrew. Reporting to the Lead QC Technician, you will be responsible for the application and execution of Quality Control tasks and standards, in line with our company procedures. You will be involved in the physical inspection and recording of inspection results, complying with Peak’s quality control processes to implement our Quality Standards. Duties will include: Physically inspecting in-coming material goods and final generator build to set Peak standards Inspecting results to be recorded in PEAK systems/software maintaining an accurate record of the inspection and communicating with engineering and operations with respect to faults found Processing of non-conforming material Reworking, where possible, minor defects to correct non-conforming material, achieving PEAK Quality standards Maintaining calibration certificates for all test and measurement equipment and maintain validation of operation Training other team members The successful candidate must have a minimum of 1 year’s relevant QC experience and ideally with a proven track record using measurement instruments, such a digital callipers, pressure gauges or flow meters. Territory Manager - CIS and Russia Location: Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire Travel: 40-50% travel within the Region Established over 20 years, Peak Scientific is a leading innovator in the design, manufacture and support of high performance gas generators for analytical laboratories, with direct operations in every continent around the world. Reporting to the Channel Manager for the region, you will be responsible for supporting, developing and continuing to grow a key territory within Peak’s Channel territory  CIS & Russia.  You will be responsible for ensuring that sales targets are met and exceeded as well as maintaining mutually beneficial relationships, with particular focus on Peak’s significant distributor network, as well as our OEM’s and end user customers. You will be part of a 50+ strong European Sales and Service team. The preferred location for the role is Glasgow at Peak EMEA HQ but other locations will be considered for right candidate.  You will travel extensively within the region. You will be responsible for: Achieving / exceeding sales targets and objectives for the territory. Providing sales advice and product recommendations for distributors/OEMs/customers Regular visits to your territory to provide support, guidance and training to distributors as well as accompanying them on end user visits. Developing & maintaining strong relationships with key distributors. Negotiating the terms of a sales agreement, ensuring agreed profit margins are maintained with the aim to win business. Prospecting, growing, managing and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline. Upkeep of quotations, monthly reports, prospects/pipeline activity with feedback at meetings. Ensuring a record of sales, order information and customer contact details are entered and maintained in CRM system. Strategic Planning – examine and identify the key regions within the territory and devise an action plan ensuring a focused business approach to your markets. Contribution and communication with the channel team to share insights, achievements, best practice and opportunities. Skills and Qualifications – Distributor / Channel management experience Knowledge and/or experience of Eastern EU, Russia and MENA markets with relevant industry experience (B2B) Proven international Sales & channel management experience Knowledge of chemistry, LCMS and GC highly beneficial Experienced at managing and exceeding personal sales targets Any additional languages are beneficial Preferably educated to degree level.
