Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Location: Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with some international travel An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, international technology manufacturing business. THE ROLE:   As Financial Planning and Analysis Manager (FP&AM) , you will report to the Interim Group Financial Controller, to help deliver and operate a first-class FP&A function, improving the overall clarity of key decisions across the business In addition your key tasks will include – To facilitate effective business decisions through financial modelling – develop, run, and control budget and forecasting processes for the Group. Create medium- and long-term business plans and projections for all locations and products. Delivering robust financial analysis to provide insight into business performance and aid decision-making Financial ratio monitoring Own key financial KPI’s across the business Analysis of business financial and operational KPI's to analyse results vs expectations Analysis of cost centre reporting, examining, and evaluating the cost-efficiency of each department, recommend productivity/cost-saving initiatives Responsibility for global product profitability and margin analysis Provide support on pricing decisions THE CANDIDATE: You will be a qualified Accountant with relevant PQE and be commercially aware with a good understanding of a manufacturing environment and a complex global business. Interim Group Financial Controller Location: Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with some international travel An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Interim Group Financial Controller to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, international technology manufacturing business. THE ROLE:   Reporting to the acting Finance Director, with direct responsibility for a Finance team of 4, you will take a lead role in the global reporting processes for the Peak group (namely consolidated monthly results, annual budgets, forecasts & strategic plans)   inclusive of provision of quality in-depth insight and analysis . Also be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and support on global policies, procedures and guidance documents. In addition your key tasks will include – Oversee the global reporting processes, including consolidated monthly results, annual budgets, forecasts & strategic plans with associated reporting inclusive of provision of insight and analysis and review and edit of entity level reports as required Monitoring of performance across the Group monthly, ensuring appropriate corrective action is being taken in a timely manner Responsibility for the group consolidated statutory accounts, ensuring group accounting is fully compliant with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements Oversee the annual Group audit, communicating with external auditors as well as supporting the divisions with audit queries Ownership of the non-trading entities within the Group Transfer pricing implementation and management throughout the group THE CANDIDATE: You will be a qualified accountant with significant PQE In addition you will have : Strong financial accounting background and experience, including preparation of consolidated and statutory accounts Good technical knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and procedures Experience of financial auditor preparation and liaison Experience of working with SAP would be beneficial Working experience of insurance renewal processes and liaison with brokers preferential Commercially aware with a good understanding of a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be useful. Tax and Treasury Manager Location: Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with some international travel An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Tax and Treasury Manager to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, international technology manufacturing business. THE ROLE:   Reporting to the Interim Group Financial Controller, you will manage the UK corporation tax, indirect tax compliance and accounting requirements. You will also be responsible for development and ownership of a global treasury management function. In addition your key tasks will include – Manage the UK and Group corporation tax affairs including all aspects of tax compliance and tax reporting under IFRS Preparation of U.K. and Group tax figures included in group management accounts, budgets & forecasts Manage annual tax processes around R&D and patent box claims Work closely with the overseas and UK accounting teams to ensure all global compliance regulations are met Responsible for the UK VAT returns and corresponding VAT audits Oversee the implementation of transfer pricing globally, providing guidance and support as required Manage the day to day banking requirements across the Group ensuring appropriate structure, users’ setups, and access Development and ownership of a global cash flow forecasting process Review of Group cash flow reports, including review and analysis of cash projections submitted by the Group entities and utilising this information to derive Treasury management including cash resource management around the group Responsible for developing and implementing a global FX accounting policy Analysis of transactional and translational FX gains/losses within financial accounts, including monthly validation of P&L, and validation of accounting treatments. THE CANDIDATE: You will be a CA/ACCA/CTA qualified with proven track record in tax compliance and accounting. Reporting to the Head of IT with direct responsibility for the global team (3), the IT Infrastructure Manager will have overall responsibility for the planning, management control, performance and changes to Global IT operational services and related architecture.  The role will also take responsibility for the development, maintenance and documentation of the Peak IT Infrastructure solution and will contribute to the development of the overall IT Strategy and roadmap. Your key responsibilities – To implement appropriate IT standards in the IT Infrastructure team, including ITIL and security standards. To ensure that appropriate disaster and business continuity plans are in place for all Peak systems including backup and recovery procedures. To implement appropriate security standards to protect company data and assets, including adherence to relevant legislation (e.g. GDPR). To support the on-prem and Azure cloud-based infrastructure. To ensure that the infrastructure deployed within Peak Scientific delivers the service required for optimal operation and usage of all global business applications. Work to continually improve service. Identify and deliver infrastructure project roadmap and  construct business cases for new projects. Essential Skills & Experience Will have previously worked as an IT Infrastructure Manager, preferably with SAP B1 experience. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing business practices in a global environment. Knowledge of working with an IT vendors/partners to implement new solutions and deliver ongoing support. Understanding/experience of Office 365 and Microsoft Azure Technologies/Capabilities. Experience of delivery of SLAs and reporting on SLA compliance. Experience in supporting infrastructure for cloud and on premise ERP, CRM, field service systems. Knowledge of ITIL practices, SLA creation and Agile Project Management or an equivalent project/programme management qualification would be desirable. You will be working in true partnership with the business, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of our people strategy and “employee life cycle”. THE ROLE:  Reporting to our Global HR Manager you will provide wide ranging, flexible support to all employees, bringing proven HR generalist experience, ideally from a manufacturing background.
