Java Developer - Glasgow Permanent - Full-Time This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large software and analytics company based in Glasgow. This global organisation is looking to bring on a Software Technical Lead with embedded software development experience combined with an understanding of electronics product development. In this role you will provide technical leadership to a team tasked with developing firmware in collaboration with hardware engineers, mechanical engineers as well as laboratory scientists. The Software Technical Lead is a hands-on design and development role. You will lead a software delivery team of 2-3 software engineers, with a range of experience, in the delivery of new functionality and product enhancement under an agile software development framework. The role is currently remote but will be based in Stirling or Motherwell when it’s safe to do so.   You should have the following skills and experiences:  Degree qualified in software engineering or a closely related discipline Expert practical experience in developing embedded systems software using C (and Assembler where appropriate). Knowledge of interrupt handling, bootloaders, flash operations and peripheral programming. Ability to read and review schematics produced by the electronics team.
