How would you like to join a Cloud Engineering team working on a programme that will impact over 1 million people in Scotland?   You will be working in a feature team with outputs defined for each sprint on a 2 week sprint period. Relevant experience of deploying and supporting services and code for large, complex solutions on  Amazon Web Services (AWS) .  Will have a deep understanding of the AWS platform and deep experience with  Infrastructure as Code  for automation and configuration management. Solid and demonstrable understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies. Ability to work within an agile development and DevOps approach is essential. You will have good knowledge of standards, architectures and best practices for infrastructure, network and systems security and service availability.  A good knowledge of performance tuning, setting up system monitoring, of capacity planning, business continuity, system support and failure diagnosis is also required. Relevant experience of using tools such as  Cloud Formation, Terraform and Ansible  is a must.  Terraform  being the most relevant tool for this role. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with a background in testing and coordinating the testing of global Enterprise Applications. The role will require someone with excellent planning skills who keeps overall project objectives in mind whilst being thorough and diligent enough to work through the details of testing and defect management cycles. You will be working “hands-on” with multiple business functions in different countries so the ability to communicate effectively and support non-IT staff through testing is vital. The primary purpose of the role is to plan, coordinate, and own all testing activities for all EMEA Enterprise applications projects and Business-as-Usual change requests.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Leads, and Development/Support teams to ensure sufficient testing is completed to prove that requirements have met. Work with key stakeholders and Global Test Team to define test strategy and approach for individual projects as appropriate. Develop and own documented Test Plans ensuring they include test entry and exit criteria for SIT, UAT, and Production Smoke testing. Ensure global Test Management applications are set up and utilized per Global Test Team processes and standards. Support the business in defining test cases/scenarios. Write and support the business in developing/revising test scripts. Execute test scripts if required. Work with the Project Manager / Product Owner to schedule testing, ensuring testers are appropriately trained and have system accesses as required. Chair Test Planning, Kick-off, Progress, and Closure meetings. Oversee defect management ensuring defects are routed to the appropriate technical team. Issue Test Progress reports and attends meetings as required by the Project Manager. Write Test Completion Reports for each phase of testing as part of the project stage-gate or Production Change Request process. We’re seeking an experienced PMO Manager for an initial 12 month fixed term contract for a large business with a global reach in central Glasgow. This PMO Manager will both enhance and lead a team through the execution of a Transformation Roadmap and help deliver a future strategy state. This is a key position that spans multiple directorates and programmes of work, advising, challenging, supporting and providing insight on the best delivery approach, methodology, outcomes and effective governance. Expected to support leading an automation-first and test-driven development mindset across the team.   Technical Skills and Experience: Good experience in building automated functional regression test suites. Experience of programming or scripting languages (eg JavaScript, PHP or Python). Experience with test automation tools. Experience in testing APIs & REST Web services, Websites / Web applications. Working experience in Agile development teams and understanding of development processes and concepts. Experience with development collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira. Ability and enthusiasm to learn new technologies and techniques. Able to influence and manage internal stakeholders to ensure customer objectives are understood and met. Able to manage your own time and handle multi-task delivery, working to short timescales. Good analytical mind – problem solving skills; on your own or brainstorming with colleagues. Good investigatory skills – able to find, outline and fix issues that arise in system. Strong communication skills, both spoken and written - to talk about your work with both technical and non-technical people.
