Graduate Engineers - FTC 12 months (potential to become permanent) Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire £19K + benefits We at Peak would like to help newly qualified Engineering graduates kick start their career by offering a fantastic opportunity to join one of our large Design, Manufacturing Engineering or Quality control teams. Reporting to our Senior Engineers, you will have the opportunity to develop your career working from Design to Product Development, New Product Introduction (NPI) and Quality Inspection. Working across our various product lines and technologies, you will have the opportunity to work with talented Engineers to learn about gas generation technology and assist in developing new products from concept to production in a fast based global business. As a Graduate Engineer at Peak, and working in multifunctional environment, you will be involved in duties such as: Analysing data to identify quality trends in either products or process and work as part of a team to implement improvements Identifying improvements which will reduce build time of new & existing products Offering solutions to technical problems derived individually or as part of a team Resolving day to day engineering issues arising on the shop floor Evaluating of returned generators to Peak, providing a report on any components or work required to return the generator to good stock Building prototype gas generators to establish a good understanding of the most efficient generator build sequence Reducing manufacturing cost by implementing continual improvement concepts Generating documentation for the shop floor including Work Instructions, tool lists, test procedures & risk assessments for the manufacturing process For these roles, we are looking for recent university Graduates with a degree or equivalent in Product Design/Development, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics. In addition you should have: An interest in or experience in FEA / CFD Understanding of design for manufacture principles Use of 2D and 3D CAD packages Pneumatic or electrical systems and components Project planning Data analysis techniques Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques and value engineering Understanding of manufacturing / assembly processes At Peak we target individuals who fit our culture and values.
