Are you a Consultant in Urology looking to work in a close, supportive team?
A great opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Urologist to join a small but punchy hospital group in a beautiful region of South West Scotland.
The consultant job plan is flexible and open to negotiation on appointment. The job plan will be offered on a 10 PA contract.
The department is part of the “managed clinical network” for cancer services for the South East of Scotland. As such, the oncology services are supported by the cancer facilities in Edinburgh.
At present, emergency admissions are accepted via the General Surgical team and the local on-site Urology team will be consulted when a Urology issue is confirmed.

Essential criteria
Full GMC Registration
MBBS or equivalent
CCT or within 6 months of certificate or experience as an established Consultant
MD or equivalent higher qualification

Encouraging improvement and innovation
Experience of planning, managing resources & people

You'll be working alongside a brilliant team of 3 substantive consultants Haematologists (this post being one of them), two Clinical Nurse Specialists and one SAS doctor with a close working relationship with four Oncology Pharmacists, one MDT coordinator and four Secretaries.
The main aspects of the role will include:
Management of inpatients/ outpatients with Haematological disorders
Clinical input into the Haematology laboratory and Blood Bank
Liaising with Haematologists in the West of Scotland
